First, what’s a planetary line?

Think of this like a weather forecast, but for planet energy instead of rain. A few big ones are sitting over the Middle East this month.

Astrocartography is just your birth chart stretched over a world map. Planets fall along “lines,” and those lines run through real cities.
Two dates stand out, June 17 and 18 when two planets line up almost exactly over the region.

Most days, planets are loosely in the neighborhood. On these two, they line up almost dead-on, which is exactly why they’re worth a note.

Mars lands right over Tehran, on the part of the chart tied to a place’s public life (the “midheaven”). It’s about as exact as it gets. The mood there reads bold, fast, turned all the way up.

Venus meets Pluto on the region’s relationship axis. its tightest point here. Think deep closeness and strong push-pull: connection with the volume cranked.

What “retrograde” really means

Quick myth-bust: planets don’t actually fly backwards. From where we’re standing on Earth they just appear to slow down and drift in reverse for a while, like a train next to yours pulling away. Astrologers read that as a “slow down and go back over things” nudge.

Right now: Mercury starts its slow-down on June 13 (so double-check travel, paperwork, and any message that matters). Chiron slips into Taurus on June 19. And the two heavy hitters, Pluto (May 7–Oct 16) and Saturn (May 3–Oct 1) are both retrograde the whole way through. In plain terms: a season for reviewing and tidying up, not for forcing big, can’t-undo-it moves.
